Welcome to S*Absolut Coon´s cattery in the north of Sweden!

(Updated on 21st of October 2006)

On the 6th of October 2005 we moved from a house in town out into a house in the countryside, although the new house is only situated about 10 minutes drive from the centre of Skelleftea.

We now live by a little lake, called "Falktrasket" and we have a small mountain on one side of the house and a forrest on the other side.

In the house above (picture will follow soon) you will find the S*Absolut Coon´s cattery. The two-legged persons that live in the house are Eva and Per-Arne Bjuhr. We have two children, Henrik and Maria, 26 years old and 22 years old.

We are happy to say that our seven cats fully accept that we live in the house with them. We have sixMaine Coon-cats and one 10 year old domestic cat. Up to a short while ago there were one more Maine Coon-cat living with us. One sunny day in September 2002 our eldest MCO, Mr Marvin, suddenly and very unexpectedly passed away. He was only 5 years old - please take a look at Mr Marvin on his own "In Memory-page".

We had our first litter in October 2003. It was an enourmous experience to watch the six small creatures being born and to see them grow up into lovely kittens (A-litter).

Our second litter was born in June 2005. A lovely bunch of fantastic silver kittens, please check the B-litter.

In November 2005 came the C-litter. February 2006 the D-litter and in June 2006 the big E-litter with 7 kittens and in January 2007 the F-litter.

We will be very particular about whom we sell our kittens to, but if you can guarantee a loving home for the kitten you are very welcome to contact us.

We will try to concentrate more on quality than on quantity. Our ambition is to have about one litter pro year with healty, well typed maine coon cats with a very good temperament. As we do not plan so many litters pro year we hope to be able to give the kittens a lot of our time, so that they will be self-confident, secure and with that magnificent temper that the Maine Coons are known for.

The cats are members of our family. They are free to use the whole house, except for the garage. In front of our new house the cats have free access to an outdoor run where they can spend as much time as they want, regardles of the weather! The outdoor run is working and is a place our cats loves to be in - although it needs a bit more shelves and climbing things for the cats before it is really ready.

The cats sleep with us in our bed and they spend all other time near us, when that is possible.

Our breeding-cats are checked for HD and HCM. They are vaccinated with FEL-O-VAX IV.

We hope this presentation has given you a picture of us and our beloved cats. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us by e-mail, telephone or write us a letter! We will love to hear from you!

If you are curious about why we started this cattery and why we "fell for" the Maine Coon cat you can read about it here.
